What is Visec ?
Visec-Pro is the easiest to use, and fastest surveillance software for NETWORK VIDEO RECORDERS (NVR) with full support of IP cameras such as AXIS, IQEYE, Panasonic, Pixord, Arecont, and generic support for standard mjpeg streams. How does Visec work? Visec works by analyzing the video images that it receives and then processes this video through a series of intelligent alogrithms. Based on the user's settings, this video is subsequently stored digitally on the user's storage medium (hard drive) so that it can be played back either live on the user's computer or remotely over the Internet. Surveillance Cameras are only a small component of a security system. The Visec software creates a synergy with this hardware, allowing users to have a surveillance system comparable to the military. While Visec incorporates sophisticated technology, it has been designed for ease of use. In fact, the Visec interface is quite simple to use and is similar to operating a DVD player.

How do I see video?
Simply press one button to turn on the camera. You will then see live video of the camera. The software is like using a DVD player. We kept the interface and as easy a possible.

What is motion detection and how does that work?
Visec® Proprietary Motion Detection Technology (VPMD), is a powerful feature of the program that will record and notify you of video only when it detects motion. A sophistictated alogrithm processes video and can determine if motion was detected like from someone walking in a room. This feature is helpful because it only begins storing video when it detects moverment, and you can control the sensitivity. This also makes it easier for you to playback video because you can just watch video when there was activity. The program gives you full control to set the sensitivity of the motion, from small to very precise levels. The VPMD means that you do not need to buy any external hardware sensors. Any camera will work with this, since the motion detection is software based.

What kind of Alert features does this have?
Visec can email you a warning every time it detects motion. As soon as motion is detected, you can have Visec send you a picture of what transipred to your phone, pager, office or other communication device that is capable of receiving emails. The warning can consist of the specific motion that triggered the alert (e.g. a stranger in your home during the day), a text message, a picture, or both. Visec can also upload (ftp) to an Internet website all motion video coverage. With Visec, you can learn about events as they happen.

What computers does this work on?
The software is recommended to be used on Windows 2000, XP computers. Visec also works with Vista.

Can I use multiple Cameras?
Visec Pro can support as many cameras as a computer can handle. Usually this equates from 16 - 32 cameras. Visec's NVR will support up to 64 cameras.

Can I use wirless camera?
Yes, all wireless cameras work fine. However, we recommend IP wireless cameras because they are secure and longer distances can be achieved on the 802.11 standard.

What cameras do you recommend?
Visec supports both analog and digital cameras. The cameras that we sell have been thoroughly tested and are of the highest quality. A wide variety of models are available to suite every requirement, including night vision cameras that work in the daytime and at night, weather proof and outdoor cameras, spy cameras, zoom cameras, large resolutions megapixel cameras, etc. These cameras can be used for most video surveillance purposes. IP Cameras are the latest in camera technology and connect to your router directly. Analog cameras require a capture card or video server to digitize this analog video to digital video. Either way, you can be confident that Visec supports all major cameras, both analog and digital cameras. Visec will always be scalable.

How does the program connect to a camera or capture cards?
Visec connects using your Local Area Network for IP cameras and using the HYBRID technology uses DirectX, along with any WDM technology by Microsoft.

How much is the system?
Visec Pro is sold either with the software alone, or as a complete system availalbe in different packages: which include an already assembled DVR, 4-32 cameras, a monitor, cables, battery backup, and more. The system can be also be customized. You can always upgrade to more cameras later as well.

Can I run the program in a secret or stealth mode?
Yes, the program can run secretly on your computer. This is done very easily by pressing the "Switch To Secret Mode" button. Once in secret mode, no one will be able to see the system.

Yes, if you specifiy secret mode, Visec Pro will automatically open in secret mode when it boots up..

Here is a con artist (who is a tourist) who does this trick, and then with the help of his wife distracts the attendant while he keeps a large bill. Visec caught the entire crime, which was so professionally done it had to be watched in super slow motion. The police found this person possessing the large bill and arrested him.
